The Philharmonic Society of Orange County presents the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen, on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 8 p.m. at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Musical fireworks abound as Salonen and the Philharmonia Orchestra open the Philharmonic Society’s 2016-17 classical season with Beethoven’s Third Symphony, “Eroica,” and Sibelius’ grand Fifth Symphony.
