A Selective Guide to the Arts in Los Angeles

Footwork is everything for storyteller, pugilist and hoofer Joe Orrach, who works boxing, tap dance, percussion and music into “In My Corner,” his tale of a street smart, wise guy Puerto Rican kid from the Bronx who comes of age in the ring and at the barre. Jeremiah Chechik (Benny & Joon, Diabolique) directs Orrach in an exhilarating performance that takes off to the beat of an original Latin, jazz and rock ‘n’ roll score performed on stage by a live piano trio.
