A Selective Guide to the Arts in Los Angeles

Theatre Raymond Kabbaz, the 220-seat performance space at Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles, in partnership with the Consulate General of Spain in Los Angeles is pleased to bring a flamenco troupe from Madrid’s celebrated Fundación Conservatorio Flamenco Casa Patas to Los Angeles as part of its public performing arts series for a presentation of The DeMente Territor, directed and choreographed by rising flamenco star Karen Lugo, on Thursday, Nov. 8, and Friday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. Culture Spot readers can win a pair of free tickets to the show by emailing editor@culturespotla.com with their preferred date.

In addition to directing and choreographing, Lugo will also perform in The DeMente Territor, along with three musicians, two singers and a male dancer, delivering flamenco in its most authentic form. Her volcanic energy is a force to behold.

Theatre Raymond Kabbaz is a non-profit institution dedicated to the promotion of art and culture in the West Los Angeles area. TRK’s mission is to be an open window on French and international cultures and to inspire and sustain a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
