Theatre Raymond Kabbaz, the 220-seat performance space at Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles, in partnership with the Consulate General of Spain in Los Angeles is pleased to bring a flamenco troupe from Madrid’s celebrated Fundación Conservatorio Flamenco Casa Patas to Los Angeles as part of its public performing arts series for a presentation of The DeMente Territor, directed and choreographed by rising flamenco star Karen Lugo, on Thursday, Nov. 8, and Friday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. Culture Spot readers can win a pair of free tickets to the show by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with their preferred date.
In addition to directing and choreographing, Lugo will also perform in The DeMente Territor, along with three musicians, two singers and a male dancer, delivering flamenco in its most authentic form. Her volcanic energy is a force to behold.
