A Selective Guide to the Arts in Los Angeles

Red Hen Press presents “Poetry Through Voice” at The Edye, the Broad Stage’s black box space, on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 4 p.m. Grammy-winning soprano Hila Plitmann will perform her own songs and music of Mark Abel, Julia Adolphe, Philip White, Eric Whitacre, Aimee Mann, Danny Elfman and Sharon Farber — including the premiere of “Those Who Loved Medusa,” a Mark Abel-Kate Gale collaboration. Plitmann will be joined by musicians from the Salastina Music Society. Poetry segments will include readings by Doug Manuel, Elise Paschen and California Poet Laureate Dana Gioia.
