An All-Star Celebration and VIP after-party at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills on Sept. 29 capped off the four-day Skylight Theatre-produced tribute to award-winning playwright Terrence McNally. Celebrities from stage, television and screen performed excerpts from McNally’s work in a two-and-a-half hour production directed by Tony Award nominee Sheryl Kaller. Then ecstatic audience members mingled with members of the talented cast while jockeying to congratulate McNally, the man of the hour. Cast who stuck around for the meet-and-greet included: Dan Bucatinsky, recent Emmy winner for his role in “Scandal” and his producer husband Don Roos, along with Richard Kind, Jason Alexander, Steven Weber, Sharon Lawrence, Michael Arden, Barrett Foa, Nita Whitaker and Harrison White. Congratulations were also enthusiastically conveyed to McNally’s husband/producer Tom Kirdahy as they earlier announced a new 2014 Broadway production of McNally’s latest “Mothers and Sons” to star the incomparable Tyne Daly. Wine flowed, flashbulbs popped and autographs were graciously signed.
