A Selective Guide to the Arts in Los Angeles

St. Martin’s Griffin and G. T. Karber, author of the No. 1 Sunday Times bestseller Murdle are pleased to announce Bordergrams, a brand new spy-themed puzzle series from Macmillan Publishers to be released on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025.

Written in collaboration with Daniel Donohue, Dani Messerschmidt and Amin Osman, the first book in the series serves up 80 secret spy connection puzzles in an addictive 256 pages.

The public is invited to attend a book launch party, with a unique outdoor gamified reception on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025. The adventure takes place at the Wende Museum’s Glorya Kaufman Community Center, 10858 Culver Blvd., Culver City 90230. Capacity is limited and advance registration is required. For more intel about the book and the event, please visit bordergrams.com

Copies of Bordergrams will be available for purchase at the launch party, but to ensure your cover isn’t blown, pre-order through local bookstore — and event co-host — Village Well Books, for classified pick-up the evening of the mission.

Featuring a unique puzzle-themed scavenger hunt on the grounds of the Wende Museum, attendees will gather at 7 p.m. and are encouraged to dress in their best spy garb to track down the hidden clues. There will be complimentary champagne and martinis (shaken, not stirred) for guests and a special prize for the super spy who solves the puzzle. The authors will be in attendance to reveal all of their top secrets.
